Dr. Stefan Scholz is Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery, Assistant Professor of Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Division of Pediatric General & Thoracic Surgery at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Dr. Scholz joined Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, in May 2011. He has expanded the minimally invasive program and established pediatric surgical endoscopic single incision and robotic programs. He has focused on clinical research in both areas. Dr. Scholz has been involved in the NIH-funded Childhood Liver Disease Research and Education Network (ChiLDREN) and is the surgical co-investor for Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
